Description: This poster focuses on the innovative use of LOCKSS to establish a cost-effective preservation storage service using ownCloud to enable drag-and-drop ingest of digital content into highly scalable storage nodes at five university data centres across four provinces in Western Canada. WestVault is a collaborative, community-led infrastructure that relies entirely on a tool chain of open technologies, and runs on non-commercial computing infrastructure distributed across a large geographic area of North America.
