Telegram Channels Data ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Politics and News & Media Public Channels in English, Spanish, and Portuguese** This dataset contains three lists of public Telegram channels aggregated from the [Telemetr.io][1] catalog: - 2,000 channels in English - 2,000 channels in Spanish - 964 channels in Portuguese The channels are labeled into two categories: *Politics* and *News & Media*. To build these collections, the [Telemetr.io][2] platform was queried using a combination of language and category filters. For each combination, [Telemetr.io][3] provides up to 10 pages of results, with 100 channels per page, ranked by audience size. This means that a maximum of 1,000 channels per language-category combination can be retrieved, representing those with the largest audiences in the catalog. Each dataset therefore includes the top-ranked channels in the selected categories and languages, providing a structured sample of prominent Telegram channels in these information domains. Metadata for each entry includes the assigned category and language, formatted in a tabular structure compatible with the [TeleCatch][4] data collection tool. Telemetr.io was queried in May 2025.
