With the growing concern that dependence on GPS technologies are negatively impacting the acquisition and retention of navigation ability, we are interested in determining if the specific ways in which GPS can be used (e.g. turn-by-turn directions, time/traffic estimates, route planning) contribute to this detriment. For this study, we will be analyzing how people respond to using multiple GPS functionalities across several navigational scenarios. We will also be looking at factors that measure navigational preferences, intelligence, mental rotation ability, perceived health and happiness, and various aspects of personality.
