R implementations of the developed tests can be found in the `new_tests` folder.
To reproduce the analysis:
1. Install R and Rstudio.
2. Download the `correlation_osf.zip` file and unpack it.
3. Open the `paper.Rproj` file.
4. Install the `renv` package from CRAN.
1. Run `renv::restore()` to ensure that all packages used have the correct version.
1. Run `targets::tar_make()` to ensure that all results (saved in the folder `_targets/objects` and loadable with the function `targets::tar_read()`) are in sync with the relevant scripts. The recipe used by `tar_make()` is in the `_targets.R` file. For more information on the targets package, visit `https://books.ropensci.org/targets/`. Note that this step only considers the analysis scripts and does not reproduce the simulation study.
1. For reproducing the simulation study, rename the folder `simulation_association_test/22sep10000` to any other file name. Run `simulation_association_test/main.R`. On a normal computer, this will take too long, so it is recommended to run it on a cluster computer, for which you will need to configure the `batchtools` package for use on your cluster. To give an indication of run-time, it took roughly 2 days with 600 CPUs. Afterwards, you can run `tar_make()` again to produce all figures and tables.
1. Open `new_cor2.Rmd` and click on Knit. You may have to do this twice. This generates the manuscript.
