In this half-day workshop, you'll learn everything you need to know about building and analyzing computational models of social and cognitive phenomena. Hahahahaha just kidding. In our three hours together we'll barely scratch the surface. However, I'll do my best to get you started in terms of understanding, coding, and analyzing agent-based models of social behavior. No prior modeling experience necessary, though some experience with any programming language (including R) is recommended. If possible, please install NetLogo on your laptop before the workshop, go through the tutorials in the NetLogo manual, and play around with the demos in the included model library.
