### Center for Open Science Workshop on Reproducible Research The [Center for Open Science](http://cos.io) ([@OSFramework](https://twitter.com/osframework)) is a Charlottesville, VA-based nonprofit with a mission to "increase openness, integrity, and reproducibility of scientific research." COS offers a number of free services, including * Virtual and in-person workshops on reproducible research and good statistical practices * Individual statistical consulting * The [Open Science Framework](http://osf.io) The data event discussions documented here focus on COS's in-person workshops, which typically include content about rigor and reproducibility in scientific research and a hands-on introduction to the Open Science Framework. COS will work with the local host to customize workshop content for the intended audience's expertise and interests. --- Discussion facilitators for RDAP 2016 panel: * Jamene Brooks-Kieffer, University of Kansas * Andrew Johnson, University of Colorado Boulder We have experience with hosting COS events. Jamene hosted the standard hands-on workshop, "Workshop for Increasing Openness and Reproducibility in Quantitative Research," for a mixed audience from across the institution. Andrew hosted a customized event that included a formal presentation and informal drop-in hours as part of Open Access Week.
