# **Survey Design** --- ## Item and Scale/Domain Generation See [SIEU Survey Protocol](https://osf.io/5xw3h/). ----- ## Participant Selection #### **Sampled Population** Leaders of county and state-level child welfare, mental health, and juvenile justice systems participating in a large RCT to evaluate the use of Community Development Teams to facilitate implementation of an evidence-based practice, Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC). #### **Sampling Strategy** Systematic Sampling. #### **Specific Groups/Cohorts Sampled** 3 Cohort Groups: Data on research evidence use were collected from all 3 cohorts (N=202) - 1st Cohort Group: mental health, child welfare, and probation system leaders, supervisors, and administrators who were participating in the RCT at the time this study was conducted Proportion sample (n=140/202) - 2nd Cohort Group: leaders of child welfare, juvenile justice, or mental health systems in California counties not participating in the RCT Proportion sample (n= 26/202) - 3rd Cohort Group: The third group of participants were involved in a study of the use of research evidence to develop and implement policies related to psychotropic medication use among youth in foster care. Proportion sample (n=36/202)
