## OpenSesame ##
[OpenSesame][5] is a program to create experiments for psychology, neuroscience, and experimental economics. There are a lot of tutorial videos already in Youtube with hands-on material. Give them a try.
Check the [tutorial for beginner][6] to start.
## E-Prime ##
[E-Prime 3.0][7] is a licensed software for creating psychological experiments. There is an [Experiment Library][8] that includes a number of common psychological paradigms.
For starters, (1) request and install the [E-Prime Demo][9], (2) start E-Studio, and (3) complete the first tutorial: Chapter 2: “Creating an Experiment in E-Studio” in the Getting Started Guide (under Help in E-Studio). To check out the tasks form the Experiment Library you need to store the files locally, open the *.es3-file in E-Studio and click “Run”.
If you want to use E-Prime for your research or thesis project, contact the Xlab ([cognition@aau.at][10]) to get the license key to the full version of E-Prime.
