Description: This project contains de-identified data from two studies: 1. A prospective, exploratory cohort study: Vascular glycocalyx degradation was assessed in women with normotensive pregnancies (n=73), early onset preeclampsia (n = 14), late onset preeclampsia (n = 29) or gestational diabetes (n = 21). Measurements included the perfused boundary region (PBR, a measure of glycocalyx degradation) and the percentage of vessels that were filled with RBCs ≥50% of the time (a measure of microvascular perfusion). Circulating levels of the glycocalyx components heparan sulfate, hyaluronic acid and syndecan-1 were measured in a subset of participants. 2. A reliability study: Pregnant women in the third trimester completed sublingual glycocalyx measurements, using the Glycocheck system, on two consecutive days
