Description: Abstract Objectives: To identify from which persons I learned most insights from in 2020. Study design: Cross-sectional study Methods: I copied the sources of all flashcards I wrote in 2020 on an online bibliographic reference parser and exported the parsed references. I then imported all parsed references on a reference manager. I updated all records, removed duplicates and extracted a list of the names of all authors. Excel functions were then used to count how many times the names of all unique authors appeared within the sources of flashcards. Results: Approximately 1351 persons authored content which I found insights in in 2020. David Berridge, Sir Martin Narey and Jennifer Burnham were the top-3 sources of insights. The top 40 authors were the source of a total of n=1527 insights/flashcards, or 34% (1527/4493) of all flashcards I wrote in 2020. Limitations: The strategies used in this work assume all authors contributed equally, an assumption which may be incorrect and misleading. Citations found in the analyzed dataset are sometimes inaccurate and only include the first 5 authors, which means a number of unique authors were not counted.
