Wiki Version:
This repository contains all data, materials, and scripts to reproduce the results of "Differential Perceptions of and Reactions to Incivil and Intolerant User Comments". **Notes** Scripts should be run in the intended order (see file prefixes `1_`, `2_`, etc.) in clean R (`>= 4.0.0`) sessions. Please note that due to privacy and file size restrictions, we do not share publicly the following files: - The raw data file `data/raw/data_raw.csv` used in `scripts/1_clean_and_prepare.R`. We will provide this file to researchers upon reasonable request. All other scripts use the transformed data. - The model fits (`models/*_fits.rds`) estimated in `scripts/4_compute_multiverse.R` are excluded from this repo due to file size restrictions. All multiverse investigations performed in `scripts/5_investigate_multiverse.R` and `scripts/6_investigate_multiverse_glm.R` are built on the provided model outputs (`models/*_contrasts.rds`) and are thus reproducible without the model fits. The model fits are however needed to reproduce the control variable analyses performed in `scripts/7_investigate_multiverse_controls.R` and thus need to be reproduced (or obtained from us) before running this script. **Session info** ```r R version 4.2.1 (2022-06-23 ucrt) Platform: x86_64-w64-mingw32/x64 (64-bit) Running under: Windows 10 x64 (build 22621) Matrix products: default locale: [1] LC_COLLATE=English_United States.1252 [2] LC_CTYPE=English_United States.1252 [3] LC_MONETARY=English_United States.1252 [4] LC_NUMERIC=C [5] LC_TIME=English_United States.1252 system code page: 65001 attached base packages: [1] stats graphics grDevices [4] utils datasets methods [7] base other attached packages: [1] tidycomm_0.2.1 [2] furrr_0.3.1 [3] future_1.28.0 [4] patchwork_1.1.2 [5] lme4_1.1-30 [6] Matrix_1.5-1 [7] report_0.5.5 [8] see_0.7.3 [9] correlation_0.8.3 [10] modelbased_0.8.5 [11] effectsize_0.8.1 [12] parameters_0.19.0 [13] performance_0.10.0 [14] bayestestR_0.13.0 [15] datawizard_0.6.2 [16] insight_0.18.5 [17] easystats_0.5.2 [18] forcats_0.5.2 [19] stringr_1.4.1 [20] dplyr_1.0.10 [21] purrr_0.3.5 [22] readr_2.1.3 [23] tidyr_1.2.1 [24] tibble_3.1.8 [25] ggplot2_3.3.6 [26] tidyverse_1.3.2 loaded via a namespace (and not attached): [1] httr_1.4.4 [2] jsonlite_1.8.2 [3] splines_4.2.1 [4] modelr_0.1.9 [5] assertthat_0.2.1 [6] googlesheets4_1.0.1 [7] cellranger_1.1.0 [8] globals_0.16.1 [9] pillar_1.8.1 [10] backports_1.4.1 [11] lattice_0.20-45 [12] glue_1.6.2 [13] digest_0.6.29 [14] rvest_1.0.3 [15] minqa_1.2.4 [16] colorspace_2.0-3 [17] pkgconfig_2.0.3 [18] broom_1.0.1 [19] listenv_0.8.0 [20] haven_2.5.1 [21] xtable_1.8-4 [22] mvtnorm_1.1-3 [23] scales_1.2.1 [24] tzdb_0.3.0 [25] emmeans_1.8.1-1 [26] googledrive_2.0.0 [27] farver_2.1.1 [28] generics_0.1.3 [29] ellipsis_0.3.2 [30] withr_2.5.0 [31] cli_3.4.1 [32] magrittr_2.0.3 [33] crayon_1.5.2 [34] readxl_1.4.1 [35] estimability_1.4.1 [36] parallelly_1.32.1 [37] fs_1.5.2 [38] fansi_1.0.3 [39] nlme_3.1-157 [40] MASS_7.3-57 [41] xml2_1.3.3 [42] tools_4.2.1 [43] hms_1.1.2 [44] gargle_1.2.1 [45] lifecycle_1.0.3 [46] munsell_0.5.0 [47] reprex_2.0.2 [48] specr_0.2.1 [49] compiler_4.2.1 [50] rlang_1.0.6 [51] grid_4.2.1 [52] nloptr_2.0.3 [53] rstudioapi_0.14 [54] igraph_1.3.5 [55] labeling_0.4.2 [56] boot_1.3-28 [57] codetools_0.2-18 [58] gtable_0.3.1 [59] DBI_1.1.3 [60] R6_2.5.1 [61] lubridate_1.8.0 [62] utf8_1.2.2 [63] stringi_1.7.8 [64] parallel_4.2.1 [65] Rcpp_1.0.9 [66] vctrs_0.4.2 [67] dbplyr_2.2.1 [68] tidyselect_1.2.0 [69] coda_0.19-4 ```
