Abstract: Researchers have used perspective-taking instructions to manipulate empathic concern. However, some scholars have recently questioned the efficacy of the manipulation. This poster presents a series of meta-analytic tests estimating the effect size of the relationship, corrected for publication bias, between perspective-taking and empathic concern.
