Description: We are three Research Methods II students from Gordon College completing a replication for Griskevicius, V., Tybur, J. M., Van der Bergh , B. (2010) "Going Green to be Seen: Status, Reputation and Conspicuous Conservation." Experiment 1. This study investigates people's motives for buying environmentally-friendly or "green" products, despite the "green" products' inferior qualities in comparison to their less environmentally-friendly, luxurious contemporaries.
