Wiki Version:
This project hosts supplementary resources for the article *Estimating Complete Migration Probabilities from Grouped Data*. The *Example Calculations.zip* file contains an Excel spreadsheet illustrating the expansion of grouped migration probabilities for Figs 1 and 2 in the article. The *Migration Data* folder contains the data $D$ from which probabilities are estimated. This consists of counts of initial populations and movers by destination for each origin. $D$ is divided into two zip files, *MigrationData_1g.zip* containing the set of single-year-of-age migration data $D_s$ and *MigrationData_ng.zip* containing the set of grouped migration data $D_e$. The *Migration Probability* folder contains csv files of migration probability cubes by country, estimated using the methods described in the article. The *Validation Data* folder contains the data used in validation checks given in the Results section of the article. Details of the file formats and spatial decomposition codes are given in the *ExplanatoryNotes.pdf* file. The *Australia Case Study* folder contains the migration data and the expanded migration probabilities for the case study described in the Results section of the article. The zip file *AUS_MigrationData.zip* contains single-year-of-age and grouped migration data. The zip file *AUS_ExpandedMigrationData.zip* contains migration probabilities and ratios expanded from the grouped data.
