Wiki Version:
**METHOD AND INSTRUCTIONS** This section presents the Unified Multidimensional Calling Scale (UMCS). Read the article at [https://osf.io/8exf5/][1]. The final version of the UMCS is provided in Table SM1 (Web Supplement 1). **Web Supplement 1** See [https://osf.io/csn7f/][2], contains the final version of the UMCS (Table SM1) and the rationale behind the item modifications after the pre-test analyses. **Web Supplement 2** See [https://osf.io/b6mwh/][3], contains results of the first-order CFA (Model 1: seven first-order factors model). **Web Supplement 3** See [https://osf.io/bw234/][3], contains results of the attrition analysis. **METHOD** Data were collected in three waves using a non-experimental online survey. The second and third waves respectively occurred 12 and 24 months after the first data collection. All students regularly enrolled in the year 2014-2015 at the Universities of Padua, Naples-Parthenope, Siena and Florence were invited to take part in the survey. A sample of 5886 students was involved in the first data collection, 1700 students took part in the second data collection, and 881 took part in the third data collection. A sample of 434 students participated in all three waves (7.37% of the initial sample). The project components contain data and code for reproducing the analyses presented in https://osf.io/zc8ha/[4]. The file source containing all the variables adopted for the analysis is “Dataset_T1_T2_T3_CallingScale_CompleteDataset.sav”. **INTRUCTIONS** Each folder contains: (1) the SPSS syntax to prepare the database; (2) the database adopted for the specific analysis; (3) the SPSS or MPlus code to perform the analyses; (4) the output and results of the analyses. **1 and 3- Syntax** A file with the **.SPS** extension is a SPSS syntax file. A file with the **.INP** extension is a MPLUS syntax file. It is like a TXT file that can be opened in notepad. **2- Database** A file with the **.SAV** extension is a SPSS data file. The .SAV was created running the .SPS syntax included in the folder. A file with the **.DAT** extension contains the database that should be used to run the analysis in MPlus. When the analyses are performed in MPlus the folder contains both the .SAV extension database and the .DAT extension database. **4- Output** A file with the **.SPV** extension is a SPSS output file. A file with the **.OUT** extension is a MPLUS output file, which contains results of the analyses performed with the namesake .INP file. It is like a TXT file that can be opened in notepad. A file with **.XLSX** extension is an Excel file, which contains the fit indexes for the nested models (χ2, CFI, RMSEA, 95% RMSEA CI, SRMR) and the results of their comparisons. All the analyses were performed using either IBM SPSS 24 or MPlus 6.0. [1]: https://osf.io/8exf5/ [2]: https://osf.io/csn7f/ [3]: https://osf.io/b6mwh/ [4]: https://osf.io/zc8ha/
