Wiki Version:
Hypotheses/Expectations Although Schooler and colleagues have indicated that the verbal overshadowing effect is “more temperamental” than previously thought, the effect has been replicated. Therefore, I expect that indeed the accuracy of identification of the robber’s face from the video will be lower in the Experimental condition than in the Control condition. I honestly do not have an expectation regarding confidence ratings for the two conditions, nor can I predict whether the effect size will be similar to that observed in the original study. --------------------------- In this section, please specify your expectations for the outcome of this study. Be as precise as possible. What effect do you expect to find? You should register your expectations before you begin data collection.
