Description: In this work, we systematically compare ratings of valence, emotionality and familiarity of negative, neutral, positive and taboo words presented in L1 (320 words) and L2 (320 words) produced by the same participant. Each participant (n = 230) evaluated a random subset of 40 words in L1 as well as their translation in L2 in the three evaluative dimensions.
