Bilingual speakers code-switch (CS) in predictable locations (early locations in L1>L2 CS, late locations in L2>L1 CS), consistent with differences in ease of activating L1 vs L2. This suggests the same language control mechanisms may constrain both sentence and single word production in bilinguals. In contrast, location of CS is not primed by previous CS sentences.
