**The Aim of the Project**
Our aim is to develop a general Transparency Checklist for human behavioral research reports. The items would require the authors to disclose the transparency, openness, accountability and researcher degrees of freedom related factors of the study.
The checklist does not aim to assess the scientific quality of the studies (e.g., the adequacy of the employed methods or statistical tests).
**Target Reports**
human behavioral research (not just psychology)
using primary data (not review, meta-analysis, etc)
**Expected Benefits**
- if the checklist is part of the submission procedue of a journal then editors and reviewers would gain easy insight into the transparency of the submited study
- the authors could improve their report before submission
- the transparency and credibility of studies could improve if the researchers try to reach the standards of the checklist
- a guideline built on the checklist could be used for educational purposes
