The primary goal of this scoping review is to examine the quantity and the nature of the scientific literature concerning the concept of differentiation of self from Bowen family systems theory, specifically regarding: - The general characteristics of the studies conducted in the field (e.g., country of origin, sample, study design) - The empirical support on key differentiation of self hypotheses based on the Bowen’s Theory.
