Wiki Version:
**Overview of files** For an overview of the data files, see data/README.txt. The analyses and figures are presented in scripts/analysis.Rmd, except for the functions used in the power analysis, which is presented in TFJ-power simulations.R. **Contributions** These studies constitute Ch 4 of Dr. Linda Liu's (LL) doctoral thesis. The power analysis was added later by Florian Jaeger (TFJ). LL and TFJ jointly developed the ideas behind these experiments. TFJ proposed tongue twisters as a relevant manipulation, LL proposed intoxicated speech and explicit instructions (Exp 3a and 3b) as a manipulation. LL developed the tongue twister idea into an initial experiment (with input from TFJ). LL determined what type of phonological contrast to use, based on research into speech errors. LL decided on the design and procedure (with input from TFJ), LL created the stimuli (with feedback from TFJ), LL implemented all experiments, LL conducted all initial analyses and (with feedback from TFJ) finalized analyses and visualizations. LL wrote the first complete draft and (with feedback from TFJ) revised the paper into Ch 4 of her thesis. TFJ then made all subsequent edits and handled journal submission, as LL had started a job in industry. TFJ conducted the power simulations. TFJ added the demographic information.
