Wiki Version:
This project is intended to advance the state of the art in detecting market dominance, particularly in digital markets. Companies that dominate a market have well-established extra obligations to support competition under the law; these are not contested. But indicators of market dominance are being constantly redefined. This may be either due to a lack of present competence given the changing face of technology and law, or it could be a more deliberate attempt to loosen obligations previously agreed by democratic nations. Either way, academic research into the nature and measurement of market dominance is called for. We are working to create concrete outputs that can be referenced in court cases and legal documents. Presently we are depositing working papers and data sets. All data here is housed in Frankfurt, Germany, in order to comply with the EU GDPR.
