Lab Log ------- *Provide details about your testing here. This is a good place to note any problems during testing. We recommend recording the time and date of any problems to allow easier verification of your records here.* While reviewing the videos for coding, we noticed that some participants in the pouting condition appeared to hold the pen in their mouth with their lips in more of a horizontal line position instead of their lips being in more of a circular position. We contacted the editor (September 28, 2015), who contacted the lead lab, for advice on how to code these cases. We followed recommendations from members of the lead lab to code a 0 (exclude) if the pressure holding the pen appeared to come from the participant's teeth and to code a 1 (include) if the pressure holding the pen appeared to come from the participant's lips (even if the lips were in more of a horizontal line position). Following recommendations from members of the lead lab, we used cues from the video like how much the pen wobbled when it was used to complete the task to help determine whether the participant was relying on their teeth or lips to hold the pen as holding it with one's teeth stabilizes the pen to a greater degree. When it was unclear, we took a conservative approach, as recommended by the lead lab, and coded it as a 0.
