Description: 3.1. Loot boxes are purchasable randomized rewards in video games. There is debate in the literature as to whether loot boxes approximate traditional gambling activities. This study aims to investigate the relationship between loot box purchasing and risk taking (a known risk-factor for problem gambling; as measure by the BART), and whether this relationship is moderated by problem gambling symptomology.
