Description: Methods and Analysis The scoping review method will be utilised to search journal articles from electronic databases, like PsycINFO, PubMed, MEDLINE, EBSCO, Web of Science and Scopus, and reference lists. Moreover, reports investigating technology-based interventions for adults over 60 with MCI or dementia will be included. Outcomes highlight behaviour change strategies, features, and intervention effectiveness, supporting social participation. The study will entail international research papers in English. Two authors will independently screen titles, abstracts, and full texts utilising Covidence. Disagreements will be resolved through consensus or a third reviewer, and reasons for exclusion will be documented. The process of amalgamating the results will be iterative, allowing the reviewers to refine their presentation of the findings following the data extraction. This iterative approach guarantees that all extracted content can be part of the results, enabling a comprehensive presentation of the findings. This scoping review will offer information on the direction of future research on developing effective technology-based interventions to support social participation for people with MCI or dementia.
