Description: ABSTRACT: Telehealth has shown benefits for the Unified Health System (SUS) since its implementation, such as increased access for primary care users to secondary and tertiary care services, accurate diagnosis and continuing education. In recent years, its actions have proved to be essential, especially with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought about the need to avoid overcrowding in health services. This study aimed to know, analyze and understand the characteristics of scientific production on telehealth in Brazil since the implementation of the National Telehealth Program Brasil Redes in 2007. A scoping review was carried out in Medline, Lilacs and Scielo databases accessed by through the VHL platform. Studies with a quantitative and/or qualitative approach, published between 2007 and 2022, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, which relevantly addressed telehealth actions such as teleconsultation, telediagnosis, second formative opinion, teleeducation, telemonitoring and teleregulation carried out in Brazil were included. . Studies that did not address the content in a relevant/explicit way were excluded; review studies, reflections, letters to the editor, editorials, books, book chapters, monographs, dissertations, theses and abstracts published in conference proceedings. Data from eligible studies were extracted in pairs and assessed for methodological quality. 176 studies were included, mostly published in the year 2021 (18.08%). The reported telehealth actions were carried out especially in the Southeast and South regions of the country, and telediagnosis/screening was the most performed type of action (32.36%). Medicine was the area in which telemedicine actions were most frequent (55.11%), mostly focused on General Health and Cardiology (38.07% and 19.32% respectively).
