## Flexible utilization of spatial- and motor-based codes for the storage of visuo-spatial information. Code related to our 2022 paper: <br> https://doi.org/10.7554/eLife.75688 ### fMRI Data Preprocessed functional MRI data for each subject can be found under "Data - MRI data/Samples", with files named as "SampleFile_S0X.mat" and "TimingFile_S0X.mat".<br><br> To re-create the files with names like "MainTaskSignalByTrial_S0X.mat", which are directly used by our decoding analyses, you should run the script at: Preprocessing/MakeSamples/get_trial_avg_signal_all.m (accessible from our GitHub page, see below). ### Behavioral data All behavioral files can be found under "Data - Behavior data" (DataBehavioral.zip). This zip file contains a directory of folders with files organized based on subject and session number. ### Decoding analyses This repository also includes the saved results of our decoding analyses (i.e. accuracy and shuffled label accuracy for each analysis). These can be found under "Analysis - Decoding results" in files "spat_decoding_results.zip", "resp_decoding_results.zip" and "bound_decoding_results.zip". ### Code All code for analysis and preprocessing, as well as scripts used to run our experiments, can be found on our GitHub page at:<br> https://github.com/mmhenderson/wm_flex ### Folder structure For easiest usage of our data and code, the project directory should be structured as follows: - Project - Samples - SampleFile_S0X.mat - TimingFile_S0X.mat - (for subjects 2-7) - DataBehavior - S0X - SessionX - (unzip DataBehavior.zip here) - Analysis - Decode_space - Decoding_results - (unzip "spat_decoding_results.zip") - Decode_response - Decoding_results - (unzip "resp_decoding_results.zip") - Decode_boundary - Decoding_results - (unzip "bound_decoding_results.zip") - Univariate - stats_code - plotting_utils - Analyze_behavior - Preprocessing - PreprocScripts - MakeSamples ### Other notes: - In all files here, participants 2-7 correspond to the 6 subjects included in the final analyses. Subject 1 participated in an early pilot version of the experiment and did not complete the final version of the experiment. - This repository also includes some behavioral files and MRI data from a button pressing task with a delayed response (referred to in .mat files and code as DWM Loc), which is not analyzed or included in our paper. - Also included here are some behavioral files from a task used to localize ROIs in the Multiple-Demand network, which we did not analyze or include in our paper. - Some files in this repo will have the string "OriSpin2" - this was the original codename for this experiment, but doesn't mean anything otherwise. - In the behavioral data directories (contained in DataBehavior.zip), there are many sessions for each participant, even though only 3 sessions were performed as part of this experiment. The remaining sessions contain data from localizer task runs that were performed during separate sessions (usually, earlier in time as part of other experiments).
