Wiki Version:
This study is the first eye-tracking research to examine facilitatory interference of honorific agreement in Japanese, a typologically different language from those previously studied to investigate cross-linguistic mechanism of cue-based retrieval. We made two eye-tracking studies, confirming that facilitatory interference occurred due to the presence of [+H(onorific)] cue in processing honorific expressions and concluding that it is important to examine the combination of cues like [+H] and [+subject] in sentence processing in order to understand the cross-linguistic mechanism of cue-based retrieval. P.S. Hi, thanks for your interest! Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the poster session, but I'd be very happy to answer any questions over e-mail (yuhakun@gmail.com).
