*For our current research projects, see the Components panel (on the home page), or the links below.* <br> ![][1] The Centre for Musculoskeletal Outcomes Research (CMOR) is a research centre within the University of Otago, located within the Orthopaedic section, Department of Surgical Sciences, Dunedin School of Medicine, and strongly affiliated with clinical services of the Southern District Health Board (Dunedin Hospital and associated centres). We aim to conduct and disseminate research addressing decision-making and outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal disorders. CMOR is a multidisciplinary community of researchers, clinicians, policy makers and educators dedicated to improving patient health outcomes. We do this through research across the spectrum of clinical epidemiology and outcomes research, including epidemiology, clinical trials, health economics, implementation, evaluation, and health services research. <br> #### Current research projects: * [**Reducing the burden of osteoarthritis in Aotearoa New Zealand**](https://osf.io/q78ye/)\ This programme of research, funded by a Research Programme grant from the Health Research Council of New Zealand, consists of four inter-linked projects investigating how to deliver the best value-for-money and equity in the management of hip and knee osteoarthritis in Aotearoa New Zealand. * [**Measuring the health state preferences of New Zealanders**](https://osf.io/u67dv/)\ This project, funded by a Research Project grant from the Health Research Council of New Zealand, investigates the validity of the SF-6D health utility instrument for the New Zealand population -- especially for Māori -- and derives a New Zealand population value set for the instrument.
