Resumen en español En un contexto de transformación digital e innovación en el que la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile se involucra cada vez más, el Sistema de Bibliotecas UC asume un rol de liderazgo en el esfuerzo conjunto de implementar una estrategia digital. Con este fin, en 2018 Bibliotecas UC Library System crea una Subdirección de Tecnología de la Información y Desarrollo Digital con la misión de: “liderar una estrategia de transformación digital centrada en el usuario, con servicios que respondan de manera oportuna y dinámica a los desafíos de la comunidad de UC y las tendencias de la educación superior, que brindan un apoyo efectivo a las actividades de gestión y enseñanza, aprendizaje e investigación en el entorno digital cambiante”. Con este objetivo, el Sistema de Bibliotecas de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y las Bibliotecas Hesburgh de la Universidad de Notre Dame comienzan una alianza de trabajo colaborativo para la transformación digital. Como primera acción el equipo de BUC hará una visita en terreno a Notre Dame para conocer las unidades claves en el campus. Asimismo, las Bibliotecas Hesburgh de la Universidad de Notre Dame también viajarán a BUC. En la visita realizada por el equipo de las Bibliotecas Hesburgh se realizaron encuentros y reuniones de trabajo tales como: • Presentación de las áreas de trabajo en el Sistema de Bibliotecas UC. • Compartir experiencia sobre el método ACRL Immersion y Learning Spaces Toolkit. • Presentación Proyecto Transformación Digital. • Encuentro y breve presentación con las jefaturas de bibliotecas UC y las coordinadoras de los comités de gestión de colecciones, atención de usuarios, docencia y aprendizaje, investigación y publicación y vinculación con el medio. • Encuentro con Comité de Investigación y Publicación. Algunos temas de interés fueron Research Data Management, FAIRifying repositories; ORCID, repositorio. • Encuentro y presentación con Subdirección de Recursos de Información y Archivo y con la Subdirección de Tecnologías de Información y Desarrollo Digital. Algunos temas abordados fueron: Software curation, data curation, dmptoo, ORCID, PresQT, Web Accessibility (Web Accessibility 101), Transparent and Open Science powered by blockchain, ACR Immersion. • Encuentro con Comité de Docencia y Aprendizaje. Algunos temas de interés fueron: Diseño de la instrucción: aprendizaje activo, planificación de lecciones para la instrucción integrada en el curso, técnicas de evaluación en el aula, diseño de talleres independientes Comunicar el valor de su programa de instrucción en la biblioteca (¿Vale la pena invertir en la instrucción en la biblioteca? ); Estrategias para demostrar el valor de la enseñanza de la biblioteca al profesorado disciplinario e incorporar conceptos de alfabetización informacional en los cursos disciplinarios; actividad ACRL Immersion Assumption Hunting. English version In a context of digital transformation and innovation in which the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile is increasingly involved, the UC Library System assumes a leadership role in the joint effort to implement a digital strategy. To this end, in 2018 Libraries UC Library System creates a Subdirectorate of Information Technology and Digital Development with the mission of: “leading a user-centered digital transformation strategy, with services that respond in a timely and dynamic manner to the challenges from the UC community and trends in higher education, which provide effective support for management and teaching, learning and research activities in the changing digital environment. ” With this objective, the Library System of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the Hesburgh Libraries of the University of Notre Dame begin a collaborative work alliance for digital transformation. As a first action, the BUC team will make a field visit to Notre Dame to learn about the key units on campus. Also, the Hesburgh Libraries of the University of Notre Dame will also travel to BUC. Some topics addressed were: Software curation, data curation, dmptoo, ORCID, PresQT, Web Accessibility (Web Accessibility 101), Transparent and Open Science powered by blockchain, ACR Immersion. • Meeting with the Teaching and Learning Committee. Some topics of interest were: Instruction design: active learning, lesson planning for integrated instruction in the course, classroom assessment techniques, independent workshop design Communicate the value of your instructional program in the library (Is it worth investing in instruction in the library? ); Strategies to demonstrate the value of library teaching to disciplinary teachers and incorporate concepts of information literacy in disciplinary courses; ACRL Immersion Assumption Hunting activity.
