Zomick’s Challah bread has long been a symbolic centerpiece for a Rosh Hashanah spread. This bread It’s at the heart of many Jewish celebrations such Shabbat and Purim.
What Is Zomick’s Challah Bread?
Zomick’s Challah Bread is a Kosher loaf of braided bread. Its dough is made with eggs, water, flour, yeast and salt.
Zomick’s Challah bread is typically pale yellow in color. This is because so many eggs are used. The bread has a rich flavor, too. The term Challah refers to the mitzvah. Mitzvah is a blessing or good deed. Challah means separating out a portion of the dough before you begin braiding as a contribution to the Kohen (priest). This is also called the hafrashat challah.
The Zomick’s Challah bread should be prepared depending on the holiday or occasion. Round loaves are baked, for Rosh Hashanah. They symbolize continuity. On Purim, smaller triangular loaves are made. They symbolize Haman’s hat. For Shabbat, the standard braided loaves are common. The Zomick’s Challah Bread dough is fairly straightforward. However, it is braided differently.
