This component contains the analysis scripts for the project 'Early language difficulties and emotion recognition in middle childhood: Evidence from the SCALES cohort' There are 4 files; 1. **Path model 1.pdf** - an output file from Mplus for a path model testing the prospective relationship between early language and emotion recognition from faces and voices (Hypothesis 1) 2. **Comparing paths.pdf** - an output file from Mplus for testing difference in path strengths from early language to recognition of emotion from faces compared to voices (Hypothesis 2) 3. **Path model 2.pdf** - an output file from Mplus for a path model testing the prospective relationship between early language and emotion recognition from faces and voices accounting for early non verbal IQ (Hypothesis 3) 4. **OSF_script_ER_DLD.html** - an HTML file that was produced from the R markdown script used to create tables, figures and run weighted t-tests comparing children with and without DLD on facial and vocal emotion recognition (Hypothesis 4)
