**Uncoupling the roles of firing rates and spike bursts in shaping the GPe-STN beta band oscillations** Here we use a novel neuron model SSBN (State-dependent Stochastic Bursting Neuron) in order to separate the effects of firing rate and firing pattern (bursting) on STN-GPe beta band oscillations. This work has been described in detail in the paper: *Uncoupling the roles of firing rates and spike bursts in shaping the GPe-STN beta band oscillations* The code for neuron model, simulations and analysis can be found on the github (repo: jyotikab/stn_gpe_ssbn) The figures are included in the folder **Figures**: - Manuscript_main_figures (main figures of the paper) - Manuscript_supplementary_figures (supplementary figures) - Robustness_analysis (Some examples of the parameter combinations and their version of Fig 3A) - Spectral_entropy_example ( Showing the effect of noise and multiple peaks on spectral entropy) - Spectrogram_single_trials_for_Fig4
