Wiki Version:
Receiving support from romantic partners is not always beneficial. Emotional approach coping (EAC) may affect support seeking behavior, perceptions of support received, and outcomes of receiving support. We will test these ideas by conducting a secondary data-analysis on a two-week daily diary study of 128 couples. This study will shed light on how dispositional coping tendencies affect support processes and daily outcomes in couples.
