Welcome to the final section of our handbook! We began with learning about digital violence and its prevention, then started to consider how to build community on our campuses against digital violence. In this section, we’ll move into action by sharing some ideas for planning digital violence prevention events on your campus.
You’ll first learn about how to perform a facilitator self-assessment, as well as how to host a trauma-informed event, and what resources may be useful to build your skills in this area. We then provide five lesson plans from which you can draw inspiration for hosting workshops on your campus community.
We designed these lesson plans for in-person events. You can easily adapt them to another modality, but there may be additional considerations to make. If you’d like a better idea of what to consider for a virtual event, please review our section on designing trauma-informed events.
As a reminder, if you are new to this handbook, we recommend you start with our section on contextualizing digital violence prevention.
