**Objectives** To quantify the prevalence of reporting of criteria of trial design and conduct and transparent research practices among full length clinical trials published in the top 25% of orthopedics and sports medicine journals. These criteria include the following topics: - Sample size calculation - Intervention reporting - Randomization, concealment and blinding - Participant flow, inclusion and exclusion - Results reporting - Data visualization - Pre-registration - Open access The full list of variables with decision criteria can be found in the "Files" section under the document "Data Abstraction Protocol". The list of included journals with journal metrics can be found in the "Files" section as well under the document "SciMago Journal List" The design of the study was presented at AIMOS 2020.
