**Objectives** To quantify the prevalence of reporting of criteria of trial design and conduct and transparent research practices among full length clinical trials published in the top 25% of orthopedics and sports medicine journals. These criteria include the following topics: - Sample size calculation - Intervention reporting - Randomization, concealment and blinding - Participant flow, inclusion and exclusion - Results reporting - Data visualization - Pre-registration - Open access The full list of variables with decision criteria can be found in the "Files" section under the document "Data Abstraction Protocol".
