Datasets for the paper "How academic achievement spreads: The role of distinct social networks in academic performance diffusion". The description of the network datasets: - friendship_wave1.csv: The network of friendship ties at the wave 1 - friendship_wave2.csv: The network of friendship ties at the wave 2 - friendship_wave3.csv: The network of friendship ties at the wave 3 - advice_wave1.csv: The network of study assistance ties at the wave 1 - advice_wave2.csv: The network of study assistance ties at the wave 2 - advice_wave3.csv: The network of study assistance ties at the wave 3 - former_network.csv: The network of acquaintance before the enrollment. All network files are in the matrix format. 1 indicates the presence of a tie, 0 indicates the absence of a tie. The description of datasets with other variables: - performance.csv: Academic performance of students. 'id' is a unique student ID number; 'gpa1', 'gpa2', and 'gpa3' are academic performance groups at waves 1, 2, and 3. - individual_characteristics.csv: Individual characteristics of students. 'id' is a unique student number; 'gender' is sex of students (1 - male); 'group' is a study group.
