Qualitative Group
1. Quick Introductions and Instructions by Angie Mejia.
2. First, we will read [Chapter 12 Scripting a Qualitative Purpose
Statement and Research Questions.][1] Creswell (2016). This chapter helps
one set a purpose statement (or study aim) and a central question
(with sub questions). These three elements are a good first step towards the design of a study, etc. It allows us to think of qualitative data choice/tool (whether is an
interview schedule, a focus group question, etc.), guide and revisit the
literature review already conducted, and help envision the design a timeline. [We have
provided an example of our qualitative script here.][2]
3. After everyone has read the Creswell article, discuss how
many purpose statements/aims and central questions (with sub
questions) we want to add to the Qualitative Study template for
others to use. Alternatively, we can focus on one purpose/question/subquestions for cross collaboration.
4. [Qualitative Template here.][3]
5. If time, the group should use the questions developed and populate the other parts of the [template][4] or [resource list][5].
