Description: This study will explore how lesbian, gay and bisexual (LBG) individuals manage their emotions when confronted with stressful situations. We want to study the efficacy of a strategy known as cognitive reappraisal, which is the ability to look at situations from a different perspective. Specifically, we want to know whether the efficacy of cognitive reappraisal varies between individuals when they face stressful situations that are related to their identity (e.g., not getting a job for being LGB) vs. when it is not (e.g., not getting a job because of lack of experience).
