Wiki Version:
This study aimed to find goal induction methods suitable for experimental goal disengagement research. Building on tasks normally used to induce social identities, three different experimental conditions were implemented with graded intensity of interaction in anonymous groups and emphasis on commonalities during two tasks. Different measures of goal commitment were applied to tests if the used procedures where successful and to what degree.
