Description: This data set contains the data collected for the study pre-registered here: https://osf.io/7pw5j/?view_only=55be7a0667c540938dc7cd7687622e03 It contains 36 variables and 5160 rows (data points). The data were obtained collected in 2017. English-speaking children between 3.5 and 5.5 years (40 participants in each age group) from Greater Manchester did the following tasks: - a forced-picture selection task (with the experimental factors age group, subordinator type, clause-order, and given clause) - a Dimensional Change Card Sort (DCCS) - the CELF subtest Linguistic Concepts (LingCon) - the BPVS - the ERB subtest Sentence Imitation (SentImi) - the child version of the Flanker task from the Examiner test battery (Flanker) - the forward and backward digit span from the Wechsler Intelligence Scale (DigitSpan) In addition, 12 8 year-olds and 17 adult native speakers did: - the forced-choice picture selection task - the forward and digit span from the Wechsler Intelligence scale
