Wiki Version:
**Primary Analysis** Our primary analysis will be an indirect effect design where the 'same person' variable is the mediator and 'practical effects' is the DV. We will use the mind group [1=yes, 0=no] and the body group [1=yes, 0=no] as simultaneous independent variables with the mere time group serving as the reference group. This will be tested using 10,000 bootstraps Anyone who fails either attention check will be excluded from the primary analysis. We predict both mind and body will alter judgments of the same person to similar extents. The similarity will look at overlap of the 95%CI of the a paths of the analysis. We predict both conditions will have significant indrect effects on practical concerns as well, and to the same extent. The similarity of mind and body will likewise be compared by testing for overlap of indirect effects and 95%CI between the mind and body conditions. **Supplementary Analyses** Our first supplementary analysis will include all participants, regardless of whether they passed the attention checks. Our second supplementary analysis will test whether the severity or importance of following AD differ between groups. Provided they do not, we will include them in the analysis as covariates. If they do differ between groups, we will include them as possible parallel mediators.
