**PRETEST STUDY** Hello, this questionnaire focuses on recollection of experiences from the last day. The questionnaire is suitable for all respondents. *(assigned to either POSITIVE or NEGATIVE group)* POSITIVE Write down a positive thing you experienced yesterday - first thing: Write down a positive thing you experienced yesterday - second thing: (If you cannot remember any such event, you can skip this question.) ... NEGATIVE *(same as in the POSITIVE group, except there was "negative thing" instead of "positive thing")* BOTH If you can remember more things, you can write them down here: How many things were still easy for you to recall? Gender: Age: All things considered, how satisfied are you with your life now? 1 = not satisfied, 10 = satisfied <br> **MAIN STUDY** - preregistered materials All materials will be given in Czech.<br> <br> By registering, you give your informed consent with the following conditions of the study and with your participation in the study described in detail in an e-mail invitation you received. All data obtained in the course of this study will be used solely for research purposes and will be analyzed anonymously. Personal details (like user ID and e-mail address) serve solely for evidence of your participation, awarding of bonus course credit and communication during the study. They will be deleted after the end of the study. <br> You will not face any stressful situations, inconvenience and you will not be lied to during the study. Your participation is completely voluntary. The research is conducted by PLESS laboratory (at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague). Your participation in the study is almost finished. We will ask you to fill in a short questionnaire once again next week and in 6 weeks from now. After that, you will receive the extra course credit and we will present you results of the study.<br> An exercise similar to the one you had to complete each day should, according to scientific studies, increase a feeling of happiness. (You will get a notice about the start of the study by e-mail.) After the 14 day period you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire 1 day, 1 week and 6 weeks later.
