This dataset includes the following data of 13 participants: 1. One minute EEG recording ('.mat') with eyes open, which was taken prior to the objectifying task. 2. EEG recording ('.mat') during the performance of the economical objectifying task. 3. General information of the participants and an extract of the questionnaire that was applied and its results. The extract is focused on the information used for the calculation of the self-objectification index. Each EEG recording includes the EEG data of a participant, the names of the channels and the sampling rate. The rest recording was not used in the analysis from the manuscript but it is included in the present dataset.
