Wiki Version:
We prepared active learning activities, lesson plans and materials for interdisciplinary recitation sections. These lessons were intended to be delivered by recitation faculty and/or TAs. The activities were meant to reinforce the content delivered in the large lecture session. The Searching Databases exercise was meant to give students an opportunity to more deeply explore a database of their choice and one that reflected their likely course of study. In this exercise, students are shown how to access the databases, and given prompts to consider while conducting searches. Students share their experience in the databases with the class and the instructor addresses any points of confusion or questions. See the [question prompts][1] and [lesson plan][2], including talking points for the instructor. [1]: https://osf.io/8g2ra/ [2]: https://osf.io/e87pt/
