Preregistrations:
Preregistrations for the replication studies reported in supplementary materials are available on this project page under "Registrations." The anonymous link is also here: https://osf.io/by2wd/?view_only=cbe26f12acf64c2d870cb5c2ac9a93f8
Analyses and Datafiles:
To analyze the data, go to Files > Analysis Scripts and Datafiles. Download and save the four analysis scripts (i.e., the files ending in ".r") and the datafile(s) (i.e., the files ending in ".csv") to the same location on your computer.
The four analysis scripts correspond to the Validation Study, Study 1, Study 2, and Study 3, respectively, and are named accordingly. These four analysis scripts all operate on the same datafile entitled, "Datafile.csv." This datafile corresponds to the studies reported in the main text.
The analysis scripts and datafile can also be used the analyze the replication studies reported in the supplementary materials. To have the analysis scripts report results for the replication studies instead of the main studies, simply comment and uncomment the specific lines of code as instructed at the top of each analysis script.
There are also two optional datafiles related to the WEAT study (i.e., two additional files ending in “.csv”). These are called “Raw Materials for WEAT.csv” and “Null Distributions for WEAT.csv.” The associated analysis script for the WEAT study can be modified to calculate these two datafiles. Because these datafiles can take some time to create depending on computing capacities, the default is to use these pre-created datafiles.
Materials:
All materials—that is, complete word lists for all studies and replications—are available in the datafiles and summarized in Table 2 in the manuscript.
