Wiki Version:
Given the popularity of DBT-ST and the increasing use of DBT for populations it was not originally intended to treat, it is crucial to develop methods for the careful evaluation of the accumulation of published literature that supports DBT-ST. The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the current evidence of the effectiveness of DBT-ST from the studies included in a systematic review of the literature (Valentine et al., 2015). The present study will utilize a random-effects meta-analysis to evaluate and compare effect sizes of DBT-ST treatment outcomes, along with post-publication tools: p-curve (Simonsohn, Nelson, & Simmons, 2014) and Statcheck (Epskamp & Nuijten, 2016). The results will be discussed in the context of improving the reproducibility and replicability of adaptions for DBT.
