Below are brief summaries describing the contents of each file: **Output Files folder** - **PowerPsych251AccuracySummary.csv:** contains balance information for each method in each condition of the supplementary power simulation (this is from a second run of the simulation that included the conditions with both zero and nonzero indirect effects). - **PowerPsych251RejectionRateSummary.csv:** contains rejection rate information for each method in each condition of the supplementary power simulation (this is from the first run of the simulation that only included conditions with nonzero indirect effects). - **Psych251AccuracySummary.csv:** contains balance information for each method in each condition of the primary simulation. - **Psych251BiasSummary.csv:** contains bias information for each method in each condition of the primary simulation. - **Psych251IterationSummary.csv:** contains information for each iteration of the primary simulation including: iteration number, sample size, true indirect effect, sample indirect effect, proportion of bootstrap estimates less than sample indirect effect, variance of the bootstrap distribution, and the difference between the mean of the bootstrap distribution and the sample indirect effect. - **Psych251RejectionRateSummary.csv:** contains type I error rate and power information for each method in each condition of the primary simulation. - **Psych251SummaryInformation.csv:** contains summary information for each condition of the primary simulation including: sample size, a-path size, b-path size, average a-path estimate, average b-path estimate, standard error of average a-path estimates, standard error of average b-path estimates, average standard error of a-path estimates, and average standard error of b-path estimates. - **Psych251Type1ErrBCBCIVsPercentileSummary.csv:** contains iteration number, sample size, a-path size, b-path size, limits for the PBCI, and limits for the BCBCI for any iterations where the PBCI commits a type I error and the BCBCI does not. - **Psych251Type1ErrSigTestBCBCIVsPercentileSummary:** contains iteration number, sample size, a-path size, b-path size, limits for the PBCI, and limits for the stBCBCI for any iterations where the PBCI commits a type I error and the stBCBCI does not. - **Psych251Type1ErrWinsorBCBCIVsPercentileSummary.csv:** contains iteration number, sample size, a-path size, b-path size, limits for the PBCI, and limits for the WBCBCI for any iterations where the PBCI commits a type I error and the WBCBCI does not. **R Code folder** - **Figures_Code_Tibbe_and_Montoya_Correcting_the_Bias_Correction.R:** contains R code to generate the figures and carry out the analyses contained in the manuscript. - **Proportion_Using_BCBCI_from_Gotz_et_al_2021_Code_Tibbe_and_Montoya_Correcting_the_Bias_Correction.R:** contains R code to calculate the proportion of mediation articles that used the BCBCI from Götz et al. (2021). - **Sim_Tibbe_and_Montoya_Correcting_the_Bias_Correction.R:** contains R code to run the primary simulation of this manuscript. - **Supplementary_Power_Sim_Tibbe_and_Montoya_Correcting_the_Bias_Correction.R:** contains R code to run the supplementary power simulation of this manuscript.
