Wiki Version:
------ SOFTWARE ------ All the analyses were conducted on stata 15.1 Raincloud plots were realized on R Studio 1.3.1093 using the code from Allen M, Poggiali D, Whitaker K et al. Raincloud plots: a multi-platform tool for robust data visualization [version 1; peer review: 2 approved]. Wellcome Open Res 2019, 4:63. DOI: 10.12688/wellcomeopenres.15191.1 We have provided a description of the variables in the codebook.xlsx file. ------ Excel files ------- The definitions of all the variables from both the main_data.dta and message_data.dta files are available in the codebook.xls file. The confidence_ratings.xlsx contains the ratings of participants participants' confidence in both their message and the chat from the 3 independent raters. ------ CSV files --------- The best_only.csv file contains the data used to produce the upper part of Figure 2 in the main manuscript. The nobest_only.csv file contains the data used to produce the lower part of Figure 1 in the main manuscript. The time_data.csv file contains the data used to produce Figure S2.3 from the SOM-U. ------ Stata files ------ The file main_data.dta contains the data for all the analyses reported in the main manuscript as well as the Supplementary Online Materials (reviewed and unreviewed). The stata code to generate the manually coded variables is available in the clean_data.do file. The stata code for the tests and regressions reported in the main manuscript and in the SOM-R are available in the test_and_regressions.do file. The stata code for the Figures presented in the main manuscript, the SOM-R and the SOM-U (to the exception of the raincloup plots) are available in the figures.do file. The stata code for the tests, regressions and figures presented in the unreviewed Supplementary Online Materials are available in the sup_material.do file. ------- R files -------- The R_rainclouds.R file contains the code to realize raincloud plots and the summarySE.R file contains the code to compute the necessary summary statistics to draw the standard errors in the raincloud plots. Both files are from Allen M, Poggiali D, Whitaker K et al. Raincloud plots: a multi-platform tool for robust data visualization [version 1; peer review: 2 approved]. Wellcome Open Res 2019, 4:63. DOI: 10.12688/wellcomeopenres.15191.1 and is available at https://github.com/RainCloudPlots/RainCloudPlots The nego_rainclouds.R file contains the code to produce Figure 2 from the main manuscript and Figure S2.3 from the SOM-U.
