*A complete description of the study protocol is laid out in our protocol paper [[Hoekstra et al. 2018][1]].* Overview ======= Aims ------- The aim of this study is to evaluate and explain the impact and outcomes of a network of researchers and community stakeholders over time in order to gain a better understanding of how, when and why research partnerships are successful (or not). Context ------- This study will use data from the Canadian Disability Participation Project (CDPP), which is a large national network of researchers and stakeholders working together to enhance community participation among people with physical disabilities (see: www.cdpp.ca). Guiding Framework ----------------- The components of the RE-AIM framework (reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation, maintenance) will be used as a guide in this study. Study design and methods ------- This study will use a longitudinal multiple case study design. Data will be collected from different perspectives (researchers, stakeholders) using different methods (surveys, interviews) at different moments in time during the years 2018 - 2021. Funding ------- This study is funded by a Partnership Grant [#895-2013-1021] of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (2015 – 2022). Dr. Heather Gainforth is funded by a Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research Scholar Award [#16910]. [1]: https://doi.org/10.1186/s12961-018-0377-y
